HALTOM CITY -- Jerry Burl Gilbreath, 56, of Fort Worth, an electronic engineer, passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2009.

Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Richland Hills Church of Christ.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Institute for Creation Research, 1806 Royal Lane, Dallas, Texas 75229. In the memo field of checks indicate, In Memory of Jerry Gilbreath.

Jerry was born Oct. 3, 1952. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and graduated from Paschal High School then graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering. He was a member of Richland Hills Church of Christ, and used every situation to spread the gospel.

Jerry married the love of his life, Pamela, on July 13, 1973. For 36 years they grew a relationship based on Jesus Christ. They were blessed with two daughters who shared their love of Jesus.

Survivors: Wife of 36 years, Pamela Gilbreath of Haltom City; daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara and Brent Weast of Haltom City, and Deanna and Chris Madon of Plano; grandson, Samuel Weast of Haltom City; mother-in-Law, Algura Hedgpeth of Haltom City; father, Burl Gilbreath of Fort Worth; mother, Geneva Gilbreath of Decatur; sister, Evelyn Anderson of Sunset; brothers, Leon of Fort Worth and Billy of Dallas; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
