AUSTIN - Kitty Hays, 54, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, in Austin after a long struggle with hepatitis and cancer.
Memorial service: will be held later in Fort Worth.
Memorials: At the family's request, donations can be made to a favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
Kitty was born March 30, 1953, in Odessa to Gloria Justin Hays and Ben Hays. She graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth. She later made her home in Austin, attended Austin Community College and worked as a counselor for the Greater Austin Council for Alcohol and Drugs.
Kitty had generosity of spirit and will be missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Nancy Rains.
Survivors: Her mother, Gloria Justin Hays of Fort Worth; brother, Dan Hays of Fort Worth; sister, Susan Vassar of Austin; and five nieces and nephews.
