FORT WORTH - Charles Brentwood Langdon, 49, an attorney, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at his home of appendix cancer.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Chapel Bible Church, 3740 Birchman Ave.

Memorials: The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76103; or Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 2501 Parkview Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

Honorary pallbearers: John E. Langdon, Phil D. Dixon, Dick Regester, Tom Foster, Kevin Faherty, Peter Howarth, Bob Slaughter, J. Lee Johnson III, Ray Petta, Bill Leahy, Brooks Hogg, Ben Proctor, Joe Williams and J.R. Crouse.

Charles Brentwood Langdon was born March 10, 1953, in Midland. He was a 1971 graduate of Paschal High School, the University of Texas at Austin with BBA in 1976, South Texas College of Law in Houston in 1979. Mr. Langdon was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1980, and practiced law in Fort Worth for 23 years, specializing in oil and gas, wills, trust estate planning and real estate. While a student at the University of Texas, he worked as a congressional aide.

"Brent" was a devoted son, loving father, husband, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all. Brent loved the beach, the mountains, fishing, golf, boxing and college and professional football.

Survivors: Mother, Jackie Langdon Dickerson of Fort Worth; wife of 26 years, Sara Baucum Langdon; children, Charlie, Megan and Christopher; sisters, Barbara Langdon of New York City and Terry Langdon Schraeder of San Antonio; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and devoted companions, Pretty Girl, Mouse, Snoopy and Cali.
