Jeff was born Sept. 14, 1952, in Fort Worth, the son of Roy and Jane Magee Loveless. He graduated in 1971 from Paschal High School and received his B.A. in history and political science from Texas Wesleyan University. He was a member of University Christian Church, Fort Worth, before moving to New Mexico in the early 1980s, at which time he transfered his membership to Monte Vista Christian Church where he sang in the choir. He loved the beautiful mountains and deserts of New Mexico, but was always proud of his Texas roots.

His sense of humor and expertise made him a favorite with his customers. Jeff's hobby was genealogy; he had traced the branches of his family tree back to the Mayflower. He was generous with his knowledge and time, and enjoyed researching for others. Jeff adored his family, and always was happiest at holidays and family gatherings and celebrations.
