Thomas Elwyn Ozmer, 51, of Olney died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Services were Saturday, March 13, at Lunn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marie Helm, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Newcastle, officiating. Burial followed at Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Ozmer was born Jan. 12, 1953, in Borger to Thomas Winfred and Elnora (Perkins) Ozmer. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan College with a bachelor's degree and earned his master's degree from Texas Christian University. He was a water treatment plant operator for the City of Olney. He was a member of Olney Lions Club, Olney Chamber of Commerce and First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He moved to Olney in 1999 from Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wilfred (Bill) Ozmer, in 1962; and a sister, Mary Ozmer Daniel, in 1990.
Survivors include his mother, Elnora Ozmer of Olney; a brother, Harvey Ozmer and wife Carol of Temple; a niece; and four nephews.
